Azo pigments refer to organic pigments containing azo group (- N = N -) in chemical structure. Azo pigments are the main categories of organic pigments, and their output accounts for about 60% of the total output of organic pigments. Azo pigments are widely distributed in chromatogram, including yellow, orange, red, brown, blue and other colors.
There are many kinds of azo pigments with different properties. According to the chemical structure, azo pigments can be divided into three categories: insoluble azo pigments, azo dye lakes and condensed azo pigments
Azo pigment has bright color, strong coloring power, small density, soft system, good light resistance, so it is widely used in ink, paint, rubber, plastic, paint printing pulp, paper, stationery and cosmetics.
