SH 214 is a self crosslinking, emulsifier-free acrylic copolymer emulsion for used in industrial wood finishes that develops very good film without additional crosslinkers at room temperature or under mild curing conditions.
This product has some special properties, such as good flow and wetting properties on wood, with low foaming tendency. The formed film has features of good transparence, high gloss, excellent block resistance, excellent water, household chemicals resistance.
SH 214 can be used as topcoat of wood coatings. It also can be used in plastic coating.
Formulating guidelines:
The MFFT of SH 214 is about 33 oC. It’s better to be used with a certain amount of coalescents (e.g. butylglycol or butyldiglycol) for good film formation.
