SH 212 is a self crosslinking, modified acrylic copolymer emulsion for used in industrial wood finishes that develops very good film without additional crosslinkers at room temperature or under mild curing conditions.
The formed film has features of good transparence, high gloss, excellent block resistance, excellent water, household chemicals and wet heat resistance, as well as good weatherability, scratch resistance, and sanding performance, etc.
SH 212 is compatible with other types of acrylic copolymer emulsion and urethane dispersions. SH 212 can be used as topcoat of wood coatings.
Formulating guidelines:
The MFFT of SH 212 is about 30 oC. It’s better to be used with a certain amount of coalescents (e.g. butylglycol or butyldiglycol) for good film formation.
