SH 501 is a universal solvent-free water-dispersible isocyanate crosslinker based on HDI
that develops very good film with the combination of a certain amount of polymeric compounds containing hydroxyl group, such as hydroxyl acrylic emulsion, hydroxyl polyurethane dispersion, WB polyester or WB alkyd resins in 2K PU systems. The formed film after curing has features of excellent balance of hardness and flexibility, good transparency, and outstanding water and household chemicals resistance.
SH 501 can be used as isocyanate hardener in WB 2K PU systems.
Formulating guidelines:
The recommended mole ratio of –NCO group of SH 501to hydroxyl group is (1.1-1.3):1.
